Peacebuilding is most often associated with war and post-conflict reconciliation efforts. Many Academy of Professional Dialogue members work in post-conflict contexts, using Dialogue to bridge divides between different ideologies, perspectives, and politics by creating a space for listening and a shared understanding of our past, present, and future. Peacebuilding efforts are also essential in everyday lives where conflicts emerge, evolve, and transform through our interactions. We can use conflicts as opportunities for growth and make our communities more inclusive. Interfaith and intercultural dialogue includes all voices and promotes social cohesion in multicultural, diverse societies. We invite you to share your experiences and work toward peaceful existence through dialogue.
Our third peace-building generative dialogue will focus on two peace-building efforts on the ground: one in India between Hindu and Muslim women, and the second in the US between the Right and the Left. Each case study presentation will be followed by a reflection by the attendees.
