Dialogical Development in Schools by Kati Tikkamaki

This paper deals with dialogical development in basic education within one Finnish municipality. More specifically, it is development work done together with professionals working with students with special needs.
The development has been carried out through the project Renewing Dialogues in Social and Health Care – Leadership, Well-Being and Productivity (European Social Fund Development, 2019–2021). The project aims to promote dialogue and work well-being in Finnish workplaces. The project is national and will be implemented in nine Finnish provinces, coordinated by Tampere University and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health) and consortium organisations. The project’s pilot organisations are providing services for the elderly and child welfare services (child protection and special education). The main goals are to learn dialogue and embed the management of well-being at work and to renew work processes through continuous development into the everyday processes and structures of work communit
